Davis Shore of Knoxville, TN made a statement with his opening round of the 2015 Bobby Chapman Invitational. Shore posted a ten under par 61 and smiled as he talked about the ones that got away. “I started on hole 10 and missed the green, but got it up and down. I hit it close on number 11 and missed the putt. Then I knocked it to a foot on 12 and tapped that one in.’ Shore went on to say “The whole day was just awesome, I couldn’t do anything wrong.”  The round is a new tournament record and ties the course’s competitive record.

Trent Phillips (Inman, SC)  sits in second place with a five under par 66 as well as S.M. Lee of  Buford , Georgia. . A group of five players are behind the duo at 67 that hope to make up the six shots on Shore.
