GIVING BACK

The Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational will be utilized to raise money to support youth development programs centered around the game of golf and to provide scholarship aid to worthy young gentlemen and ladies through The Bobby Chapman Foundation. Funds raised by The Bobby Chapman Foundation going to scholarships have exceeded $315,000, thanks to the members of The Country Club of Spartanburg, our partnership with the Spartanburg County Foundation and the many kind sponsors of The Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational. The South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation has many programs that are directly affected by the gifts from The Bobby Chapman Foundation as well, scholarships being the primary beneficiary. Entry level programs, instruction, and First Tee operations are all assisted as well thanks to the tremendous support by The Chapman tournament.

The Spartanburg County Foundation is committed to improving the lives of Spartanburg County residents by promoting philanthropy, encouraging community engagement and responding to community needs. Established in 1943, The Spartanburg County Foundation is the oldest community foundation in South Carolina. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of respected community leaders and managed by professionals with knowledge of the community and its most pressing needs.
